DESCRIPTION: This datafile contains the chart boundaries for the 473 charts in atlas URANOMETRIA 2000.0 by Wil Tirion, Barry Rappaport and George Lovi, published by Willmann-Bell Inc. Although the atlas comes in two volumes, the charts are numbered sequentially through both, and so the set is considered as one atlas for the purpose of this datafile. For efficiency purposes, the 2 northern and 2 southern circumpolar charts of the atlas are each divided into 3 areas; hence there are 481 rather than 473 area boundary sets in this datafile.
DATA: Displayed is the chart number for the current HyperSky field cursor position. The atlas is well-designed so that chart boundaries follow lines of constant Right Ascension and Declination, and each chart overlaps with neighboring charts around its perimeter. Hence more than one chart number (possibly up to four) will be displayed for some positions.
If you set a non-BLACK line color for this file the boundaries of all AAVSO atlas charts surrounding your current cursor position will be drawn in your chosen color when you request datafile information (using ENTER or the right mouse button) or draw boundaries (with the 'b' command).
