FILE: borealis.a0 (80 entries)
CONTENTS: Atlas Borealis/Eclipticalis/Australis chart bounds, equinox 1950
DATASET: This file comes in HyperSky dataset A-0.2, version 19890915 (part of the original basic dataset supplied with HyperSky.) Availability on HyperSky CD-ROM: Vol. 1 (1993)
DESCRIPTION: This datafile contains the chart boundaries for the 80 total charts in the three complementary star atlases ATLAS BOREALIS, ATLAS ECLIPTICALIS and ATLAS AUSTRALIS, by Antonin Becvar and published by Sky Publishing Corporation. Together the three atlases cover the entire sky as follows:
BOREALIS - 24 charts covering +30<Dec<+90
ECLIPTICALIS - 32 charts covering -30<Dec<+30
AUSTRALIS - 24 charts covering -90<Dec<-30
DATA: Displayed are the atlas and chart number for the current HyperSky field cursor position. No more than one chart number will cover a position since the atlas charts do not overlap. Also shown will be the abbreviations of the constellations covered by the given chart. A trailing dash indicates that additional constellations could be listed if space were available. The constellations are listed in approximate order of descending area covered. Thus, the first listed covers the most of the chart, and so forth.
